Artemide celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the iconic Ilio floor lamp with a new limited edition

On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the iconic Ilio floor lamp, designed by the brand's founder Ernesto Gismondi in 2013, Artemide unveils a new special limited edition run of 2000 pieces, bearing the signature of its creator.

Iconic not only for the essentiality and elegance of its form, but also for the strong and saturated colours chosen by Gismondi, Ilio is a floor lamp in which the geometric synthesis expresses a productive and functional intelligence that contributes to making it a perfect example of sustainability.

The new Ilio 10 is the perfect combination of all these unique hallmarks, and becomes even more environmentally friendly thanks to the innovative PVD finish.

An elegant expression of light making, Ilio 10 is enriched by a metallic nuance on its surface: a gradation of tones, from warm to cold, interacts with the environment by softly reflecting its hues.

The value of “making” is important. It is a message that must be conveyed to young designers and architects entering the world of design and light. They must be told that it is not enough to attend the right school, to have interesting ideas, because design cannot be taught or understood without “making”. - Ernesto Gismondi
