Pregnana Milanese, 8 October 2024 - Artemide is pleased to announce its participation in the third edition of LiGHT 24, the international trade fair dedicated to the lighting industry, taking place on November 20 and 21 at the Business Design Centre in London. On this occasion, Artemide will present collections emerged from collaborations with prominent international architectural firms and research into the most advanced technologies.

Artemide interprets different cultural perspectives on the project of light in an increasingly international opening with the protagonists of the contemporary project: BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), Foster + Partners, Mario Cucinella, Progetto CMR, Michele de Lucchi and Carlotta de Bevilacqua just to name a few.

BIG started from an abacus of essential geometries to design a new font that translates into light, an alphabet used to write and to express one’s thoughts, a tool to give shape to spaces. Alphabet of Light is a language based on light intended to convey freedom, an elementary principle generating an open system.

Combining acoustic control and comfortable lighting, Flexia by Mario Cucinella and Eggboard Circle by Progetto CMR, are designed to to improve the quality of the environments in two transversal solutions that fit perfectly into living and working spaces.

Artemide then presents Helgoland and A.39, two projects designed by Carlotta de Bevilacqua that feature a compact and optimised geometry, capable of casting good light into any space. In Helgoland, the patented technology of the refractive optics is miniaturised and developed according to a hexagonal mesh that maximises the density of the luminous flux emitted. While A.39 Microrefractive features Patent-pending proprietary optic system made by a thin black square-meshed grid and by a system of square plano-convex lenses of appropriate beam angle.

Designed by Foster + Partners, Hoy is a wide range of adjustable spotlights with elementary shapes but high performance, which combine with linear modules for diffused or controlled light. Each lighting performance represents a unique solution thanks to Artemide's continuous research, which develops optoelectronic innovations to achieve not only high efficiency but also excellent perceptual quality of the emission.

Finally, Artemide presents the iconic Tolomeo, originally designed by Michele de Lucchi and Giancarlo Frassina in 1987. Characterised by clean and minimalist lines and an aluminium  structure, this lamp embodies the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics.

For 60 years, Artemide has been a pioneer in the field of light design, once again opening new frontiers of the project starting from a disruptive approach based on sustainable innovation, knowledge and know-how, a humanistic approach and an ethical perspective
