Fall Launches from Artemide

This September, the renowned Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide will introduce more than a dozen new products to the US market

New York, New York — September 13, 2022 — Artemide, a worldwide leader in lighting design with an unparalleled commitment to technological innovation, research, and human interaction, is launching a new series of products in the US, expanding their impressive canon of lights.

Originally introduced in 1972 and designed by industrial designer Richard Sapper, Tizio combined high-quality technology and elegance, and for its 50th anniversary, Artemide is celebrating with a new and special edition of the iconic table lamp: Tizio Red. Tizio Red is a limited edition of 5000.

Designed for function and fun, Artemide will be launching Bontà — a lamp at the intersection of lighting and eating and crafted using handmade glass blown in Venice. Designed by Michelin-starred chef Davide Oldani, Bontà is a customizable system of cylindrical lights and a variety of serving dishes suitable for decorating, lighting, hosting, and snacking.

Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), Artemide will be introducing La Linea, a flexible tube of light built for versatility across indoor and outdoor locations. The free twisting lighting feature moves candidly in space and can bend three-dimensionally to create different visual elements that capture the setting of a room or area.

Designed by Foster + Partners, Takku’s form is reminiscent of a pin or thumb tack that is used to temporarily affix notes to a surface, which alludes to its portability and flexibility. It is a portable battery-powered lamp that is an intimate source of light for the bedside or tabletop.

Stellar Nebula is an impressive handblown glass lighting fixture designed in collaboration with the renowned architecture firm the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and crafted in Artemide’s very own Venetian glass-blowing factory. Originally launched at Salone del Mobile this past June, a pendant version will be available this fall.

Finally, Artemide will be re-introducing a number of historic products in the US market. The modern classics collection will include the following selection of modern design marvels and icons of the Italian design panorama: Alfa, Boalum, Callimaco, Eclisse, Lesbo, Nesso, Nessino, Pausania, Shogun, and Tolomeo.
