17th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia
19 May 2021
Artemide continues its collaboration, established in 2015, with La Biennale di Venezia to support one of the most outstanding Italian and international cultural institutions for innovative art and architecture visions.
This cooperation expresses the commitment of Artemide, an international light design leader, to invest in culture.
Founded by Ernesto Gismondi, Artemide has been designing and producing light for 60 years, declaring its perspective towards the future more and more explicitly: an approach to design guided by ethical vision, scientific research, technology and know-how.
Artemide has always listened to the world. The project is not the object itself, but a interpretation of cultural, technological, humanistic and sustainable contemporaneity to illuminate the future.
“How will we live together?” concerns ethical and social research contents which encourage reflection on spaces for living together generously, according to new associative geographies to tackle the current crises with inclusion and spatial identity.
Today, more than ever, light is a unique energy. Light makes the world visible and supports the perception of spaces, interacts with life, with psychological and physiological well-being, communicates with the environment through intelligence, can transmit data and information.
Through the results of Artemide's research, light can now also sanitize spaces and bring people back to experience them together, thanks to the innovative patented INTEGRALIS® technology.
Artemide testifies and measures through the Sustainability Report a design approach that looks ahead to develop lighting solutions capable to improve the quality of life in the spaces where this and future generations live and will live.
Vision, project culture, competence, know-how, Made in Italy give life to a "good light" that can contribute to a better and sustainable life for man and the planet, distribute value by restoring not only function but also emotion and beauty .
Artemide participates in the world’s finest contemporary art exhibition as sponsor, as well as providing its lighting projects to highlight the visiting experience throughout the exhibition, in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Among others Artemide contributes to light the Applied Arts Pavilion Special Project organised thanks to the collaboration between La Biennale di Venezia with the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Padiglione Venezia, and the Collateral Event “Skirting the Center: Svetlana Kana Radević on the Periphery of Postwar”.
