Milan, 7 April 2025Artemide has always listened to the world through research and through its connection with those shaping the spaces of today and tomorrow. Inspired by the vision of founder Ernesto Gismondi, Artemide brings together creativity and precision, expertise and craftsmanship, all filtered through a commitment to environmental and social sustainability. The 2025 collection is the result of these Dialogues, in which leading contemporary architects interpret Artemide’s wealth of knowledge. Alongside new creations are reissues of iconic designs - proof that it is possible to design with vision, ethically and with longevity in mind.

Artemide presents solutions developed through long-standing partnerships with BIG, Foster+Partners, Herzog & de Meuron, Michele De Lucchi, Giulia Foscari, Carlo Colombo, Alessandro Pedretti and Neil Poulton, alongside new collaborations with ARUP, Giò Forma, OBR and SOM. These mark the beginning of new directions in how we experience light.

These projects explore light at every scale: as a structural element that complements and completes architecture, and as a mobile, adaptable presence within spaces, shaping life and relationships. They are versatile, flexible designs, suited to a wide range of applications, and bring high-quality lighting to every setting, both indoors and out.

The new collections blend cutting-edge technology with traditional know-how, exploring sustainable materials such as bamboo alongside unexpected choices like velvet. Both classic textures and innovative solutions incorporate Artemide’s patented optical principles. Every Artemide light is designed in relation to the space it inhabits and the psychological and physical wellbeing of those who use it, with carefully calibrated parameters that ensure perfect perception and exceptionally efficient energy use, made possible through advanced optoelectronic solutions.

To honour a legacy where design culture and business vision came together to create timeless icons that remain relevant today, Artemide also presents reissues and previously unreleased pieces.

These works express the essence of Italian design and reflect lasting professional and personal relationships between Ernesto Gismondi and their creators: Gae Aulenti, Vico Magistretti, and Ettore Sottsass.

At Euroluce, Artemide will present this vision of light as a material for constructing space and human connection, within a stand designed by OBR.

Artemide’s partnerships with the great architects behind its collections will also feature in various installations across Milan Design Week. Alongside the product “Tetras”, SOM’s installation for Interni, “Cre-Action”, will be on display beneath the historic arcades of the Filarete Courtyard. It presents light as a vital element in shaping spaces that are dynamic, responsible and inspiring. Also within the courtyards of the University of Milan, Artemide lights up “The Amazing Plaza” by MAD Architects for Amazon.

Other locations illuminated by Artemide include “CITTÀ PARADISO” by Mario Cucinella Architects for Solferino28, “Opendoor” by Door at San Barnaba’s Cloisters, and the historic Villa Bagatti Valsecchi for Alcova.
