Artemide at Design London 2022

Artemide renewed its participation in Design London, the trade show which returned to Magazine London at the Greenwich Peninsula from 21 to 24 September during the London Design Festival.
For the occasion, Artemide is presenting a collection of products that are the result of the company’s constant research and technological innovation.
Building on the heritage of its founder Ernesto Gismondi, Artemide combines creativity and measure, knowledge and know-how by collaborating with leading Italian and international architects and designers.
Artemide’s attention to the world is reflected not only in the research and development, but also in its collaborations with industry players designing forward-thinking living spaces.
At Design London, the brand is showcasing its latest projects including works by world-renowned architects and design studios such as Foster+Partners with Takku and Ixa, but also BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group with Alphabet of Light, Gople System, Stellar Nebula, Gople andVine Light.
The new collections combine innovation and traditional know-how; they are flexible and adaptable as they evenly light private and public spaces, personal or shared, indoors and outdoors.
At Design London, Artemide is presenting Funivia, the innovative scalable and flexible lighting system inspired by cable cars and designed by Carlotta de Bevilacqua. Funivia’s functional design can easily fit into every space, creating a complex infrastructure design by solely implementing a few simple elements.
For more than 60 years, Artemide has designed andproduced lighting products through the synthesis of humanistic vision, scientific research and know-how measured throughenvironmental and social sustainability values.
The numerous iconic products designed by masters of architecture and design such as Tizio by Richard Sapper are proof of this., one of the icons of Italian design and Artemide’s flagship product, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with a limited edition numbered in red.

ABOUT DESIGN LONDON
Design London, the largest official destination for contemporary design at London Design Festival, returns to North Greenwich with its second edition between 21 – 24 September 2022. Taking place in Magazine London on the banks of the River Thames, the four-day event will headline as the main attraction – among a plethora of creative features and activations – in the festival’s newest design district, Greenwich Peninsula. Design London made its debut in 2021, attracting over 12,000 UK and international visitors. The show is set to double its floor space this year, where architects and interior designers can source cutting-edge furniture, kitchens and bathrooms, lighting and architectural fittings all under one roof.
